Be Real

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people.  You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession.  As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.     -1 Peter 2:9

Be open, be honest, be real……..it’s just so very important!  Showing our struggles and our brokenness to others gives us the opportunity to show them how God also holds us together in our weakest moments.  In our most vulnerable state, our brokenness allows the light to shine through.  God’s light!  The light that called us out of our suffering, our sinfulness, our grief and pain.  We can show others the goodness of God that holds us together in our times of need.  So stop hiding your pain, stop isolating your hurt.  Find a friend you can trust and get sharing your needs and brokenness so she can grow from you, and you from her.  God chose us for this!
