Character Check!

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. -2 Corinthians 6:6

Today may be the hardest blog challenge to date. It’s a character check. It requires looking back on the last days or weeks and studying how you handled life. Were you pure in your dealings? Were you understanding with that person who just didn’t want to cooperate? How about your patience with that same person, or your children, or that lady in the check out lane? Was your kindness contagious or did you keep it to yourself, or hide it under a rock that one day when everyone seemed to be driving you crazy? Did you allow the presence of the Holy Spirit to lead you and shine out from within you? How about your love? Was it consistent, unconditional, and sincere? It’s a lot to think about and a lot to take in. Pray to God about your character. Ask Him to show you where you need to work and be prepared to take Him seriously. Be ready to let God change your heart and guide you toward your next step with Him. And thank God for His Word that guides and directs our actions and shows us how to live.
